There is order in everything God does. God doesn’t do things haphazardly. He does things in order. 1Cor 14:40. In like manner, there is an order or protocol to prayer.
God created everything man needs first before creating man, he created the sea before creating the fish, he created d sky before the birds etc. Matt 6:9-11 illustrated prayer protocol
What are the order/protocol to prayer?:
1. Worship and adoration: Matt 6:9, Your worship and adoration helps you open the gates of heaven. Psalm 100:4
No business is more urgent than the bbusiness of Thanksgiving because that’s what God feeds on. Adoration is the expression of your love for God. Matt 22:37. Worship is the donation of your heart to God. Your hand (Money) is useless to him without your Heart
The place of worship is the place of total surrender. Worship is getting overwhelmed by the greatness of God and exposed to you your nothingness.
2. Set God’s kingdom as your priority: Matt 6:10. Stop complaining about God’s kingdom, pray for it. Psalm 122:6
3. Prayer of Warfare: Matt 6:10, anywhere you want God’s will to be done, it has to be enforced. You will have to fight for God’s will to bed done. Matt11:12
Eph 6:12. If you want to fare well in life, warfare must be a part and parcel of your life. No one can fight your battle for you, like you can do for yourself.
Rom 8:37, You are in the warfare to be victorious not to lose, all you need is to exercise your rights. 1Cor 15:57. Jesus defeated the devil before calling you un to him as a son.
4. Supplication: Matt 6:11, God wants us to come to him for our daily needs.
In Exo 15:24-25, bitterness turned sweetness at the instance of prayers.
Every challenge that comes in your life is an opportunity for God to manifest himself
Phil4:6, Matt 7:7, God wants you to ask. Express it. Supplication is humble earnest request. Supplication is not selfish: Eph 6:15
5. Cleansing & Consecration: Matt 6:12, when there is sin in the heart, God cannot hear us. Isaiah 59:1-2, ps 66:18, God wants us to live a consecrated life. He can’t overlook sin. 1Jhn 1:8-9, Matt 6:12-14, mark 11:25, To obtain forgiveness from God, you must be willing to forgive others too
6. Dedication: Matt 6:13, each day must be dedicated to God, because in everyday there is temptation therein. Matt 6:34. God admonishes us to be weary of temptation. Matt 26:41, Psalm 37:5,Prov 16:3. Handover your day to God and he will keep the enemies at bay
7. Thanksgiving and Appreciation: Matt 6:13, Thanksgiving is the highest expression of faith. John 11:41, Jesus expressed his faith via Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving show s we have confidence in God. Rom 4:20, Phil 4:6
