In this kingdom, we only rise by scriptural light. Isaiah 60:1. It is what you see from the scriptures that grants you a rise. Your personal light guarantees your personal rise. Psalm 119:130. Anyone can teach you the word, but only you have the sole responsibility to catch the light from the scripture. Whatever you can see from the word, you will seize your portion in this life.
1. Delight yourself in the Lord: To Delight means to have a keen interest in something. This means to approach the word with excitement would allow the word to open up to you. Psalm 1:2, 2 Cor 3:6. Revelations are divine secrets and God only shares these secrets with those excited and interested in his word. Isaiah 12:3. if you are not keen on the word, you will not see from it. Access would simply be denied you If you don’t show interest in the word. Psalm 119:16. Psalm 119:77, Job 23:12
2. Quietness: This is the environment that must be created if you want to draw insights from the scripture. God is not a noise maker. You need quietness on your inside to draw insight. Psalm 46:10. God is not a noise maker, when he speaks, he speaks in a still small voice., so you will need to learn or program to be quiet on your inside so you can draw insight easily. 1king 19:11. I Tim 4:11
If you want God to talk to you, you will need to learn to be quiet and listen in on your inside, cos you can’t be talking and expects God to be talking to you too. Isaiah 30:7 Psalm 29:3
3. Humility: Humility is a matter of your relationship with man and your relationship with God. In relation to God, humility refers to seeing your need for God; a total dependence on him. God knows when you are haughty, He deals with the heart. 1sam 16:7.
Matt 11:25 shows that revelation can be hidden from the wise or a professor unless he approaches the word with humility, that’s why prov 3:5, says lean not in your own understanding
what you claim you know can be a barrier to what you need to know. Heb 4:12, The word is able to discern if you’ve approached him with humility before he can deliver to you.
Matt 11:27-29, All things have been delivered to Jesus, and to access these things, light is needed. However, he shows light only to the meek. Psalm 25:9
4. Paying attention: attention means looking and considering carefully lines upon lines, precepts upon precepts, the word of God. It is what you pay attention to that pays you.
Your revelation is limited if you are limited in attention. Mark 4:24 (NLT)
For everyone you love, you pay attention to that person. So if there is truly a relationship between you and God, you will pay attention to his word. Prov 4:21-22, 2Cor 3:18.
Martha the house owner was too familiar with God and Mary his sister was the one who paid attention to the thing that mattered most and Jesus recognized this. Luke 10:38-40. Pay attention to the word and the world will pay attention to you.
