Many believers are still behaving like children; they are not maturing and so they keep losing on their redemptive rights and benefits and so the devil keeps taking advantage of their ignorance. 2 Cor 5:17-20, Gal 4:1
The Legal Aspects of our Redemption
The Legal Aspects of our redemption talks about what God did for us in Christ and these things are in the past. 2 Cor 5:21
Col. 1:12 (NLT) shows that God has already enabled you (as a born again) to partake in the Inheritance of Christ. The day you got born again is the day you received the reality of deliverance God gave to you in 2000 years. Col. 1:13
You got established by God for total deliverance the day you got born again, but it is only ignorance that makes a born-again still suffer any oppression from the devil.
Your status is a delivered life, transferred from darkness to a kingdom of light. Col 1:13, so until you walk in the reality of this light, the devil will keep oppressing you.
Jesus redeemed us (bought us) by giving himself for us. So, we should no more be under the bondage of Sin
The substitutionary death of Christ:
Christ died to replace (substitute) you before God. Rom 5:17-19,
(a) When Jesus died, you also died. Rom 6:8
(b) When He was buried, you were also buried with him (in baptism) col. 2:12
(c) When He was made alive, you were made alive with him. Col. 2:13
(d) When He was vindicated, you were also vindicated with him 1 Tim. 3:16
(e) When He was raised to sit in heaven, you were also raised with him Eph. 2:6
The Vital Aspects of our Redemption
This talks about what we really have now. This means what the Holy ghost is doing in us now, to live the legal life vitally or to live in the reality of all that Christ has done for us. This begins from the day you got born again to the day you get to heaven.
One of the things that would not make you walk in the reality of what Jesus has done legally is condemnation. Rom 8:1. The devil brings thoughts to you to make you unfit before God, therefore the vital aspects of our redemption are most revealed to us when we go to scriptures that expose our rights in Christ (e.g books of Romans, Colossians, Ephesians)
