The ultimate need of man is the favour of God. Life would be a struggle without God’s favour. Rom. 9:16, Psalm 127:1. Once you encounter God’s favour, you enjoy settlement against years of labour. Exo 3:21. God’s favour is the highway to a life of total rest.
1. Righteousness: The life of favour is not possible without a stand for righteousness. God’s favour is not for everyone or for all church attendees, psalm 5:12. Your candidature for God’s favour is Rightousness determined. Psalm 45:1-8. Those who enjoy sin, never enjoy God. Prov 14:9, Rom. 6:1. Righteousness simply means standing right with God. It is living right with God. 1cor5:19, 1John 3:7-9
How to work in righteousness:
a. Get born again
b. Get married to God’s word: Psalm 119:11
c. Watch your company: 1cor 15:33
d. Watch the gates of your life: your eyes, tongue, ears. Job 31:1
2. Show favour to others: Life is governed by the law of seed time and harvest. Gen 8:22. Favour begets favor, kindness begets kindness. What you sow is what you reap. Gal 6:7. Seeking to make others better, is what betters your life. Matt 5:7, Prov 3:3-4,
Unlocking a lifestyle that shows favours:
a. Break free from selfishness: Phil 2:3, Job 42:10
b. Start from where you are: liberality is not in quantity, it’s about the heart. What you have is enough to start from. Prov. 11:25
3. Revelation Knowledge: Do you know Jesus? Do you have revelation of him? 2 peter 1:2, Matt 16:17-18. Revelation is Spiritual Knowledge. You need to know both God’s ways and his Acts like Moses. To the degree that you know God, is to the degree you will enjoy God’s favour. John 8:32, Prov 13:15, Psalm 119:130. Go for the word, when the word comes, it gives light and understanding which then begets favor. Hosea 4:6
How to activate Revelation:
a. Humility: psalm 25:9, James 4:6
b. Develop habits of meditation: 2 Tim 2:15, 1Tim
c. Pray in the spirit: 1cor 14:2
d. Read Spiritual books and listen to tapes: Prov 23:23
e. Fasting:
4. Praise: Praise to God guarantees favour from God. No matter what you face, do not let his praise leave your mouth. Psalm 89:15-17
How to praise God effectively:
a. Let it be heart seated Psalm 11:1
b. Let it be filled with joy: Psalm 66:1
c. Let it be consistent: either in good time or bad time. Don’t lose the treasures of heaven, because you lost something. Psalm 34:1
