The Scripture says, “And war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail.” Rev.12:7-8.
It is funny to see Christians go about with ease in their daily lives. When human being faces the challenges of life and require a supernatural intervention, God is often sought day and night, seconds after seconds, in prayers, fasting, fellowship and study of the word.
Painfully, when the testimony is born, what we often see, for some, is a sharp opposite in their devotion and commitment to the things of God as of previous.
Satan was bold to attempt a coup in heaven by launching an audacious attack to usurp God’s authority which of course led to the war between him and God and between his kingdom and God’s. This implies therefore that there is no guarantee that he won’t attempt same against your life and all that concerns you?
Ephesians 6:12 expressly told us, “ For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
So why are you now relaxed? Why have you given up fasting and prayers? Why does studying of the Bible no longer appeal to you? Why are you so comfortable missing the gathering of the children of God? Why are the things of God becoming distasteful to you?
Just as Satan went to God because of Job, he is constantly on your case. He is not happy with your little testimony and would do anything to rubbish the acts of God’s wonders in your life.
When the things of God no longer appeal to you like before, it is a sign that you are becoming ease at Zion. Amos 6:1 says, “Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came.”
The devil is constantly at war with the believers, woe is you, if you sit down lazily thinking all is well.
I admonish you beloved, to constantly take the battle to the enemies’ gate – The devil.
