Faith is the life of Christianity. Eph 2:8, 2 cor 2:24, 2cor 5:7, we stand by faith, we walk by faith, in fact everything we do as a Christian is by faith
when man fell, his spirit was disconnected from God, but when Jesus came, he reconnected us with God via Faith, so it is a disservice to God, if you don’t live in faith ROM 1:17 God is not impressed by your face but by Faith. Habb.2:4, Heb 10:38
It is by the exercise of Faith that you can please God. Heb 11:6, you will always win with Faith. In fact, we transact in God’s kingdom by Faith
Characteristics of Faith that works wonder:
1. It always emanate from the heart. Rom 10:9-10, Bible Faith is born and nurtured from the heart. Mark 11:23. The heart being referred to here is not the physical one that pumps blood, rather it is talking about the center of your life, your spirit man, the real you. 1Peter 3:3-4
2. It speaks what is written: Bible Faith is not ‘dummy’, if it is inside, it must speak. Until your faith on the inside is expressed out, there can’t be performance. Rom 10:10.
If you are in faith, and you are not speaking out, you may be in doubt. Until you speak, you have not believed. 2 Cor 4:13. Faith declare what is written and not feelings. Mark 11:23
3. It is Patient: Heb 12:1, the force of Faith and patience are required to run life’s race. Patience gives Faith capacity to fly. Faith can fail without patience. You need both Faith and Patience to inherit all of God’s promises. Heb 6:12. it is lack of patience that makes many lose their miracle.
Patience is an attitude of endurance towards trial. Patience is being the same way all the time, not wavering or looking for options. James 1:3-4, inheritances are not given to children but to sons, and it is in patience you mature to qualify for sonship
How to grow patience?
a. Know what the word says and keep your mind on it. Phil 3:14
b. You keep a picture of the expected end in mind. James 1:11-12.
c. Be thankful: Phil 4:6-7
4. It operates by love: For your faith to work, it must work in love. Bible Faith is love based. The effectiveness of your faith is dependent on love. Gal 5:6. 1John 4:8, there is no way you can say you love God, without knowing him.
