Isaiah 40:30-31, If we would learn to wait and trust on God, we would mount up with wings. The eagle is the bird of all birds, it soars higher than others. Isaiah 60:7-8. God wants us to be on a flight no matter what. We are designed by God to mount up with wings continually.
How to Fly:
Every eagle begins to fly one day. Once the eaglet is born, it has the capacity to fly and soar, it doesn’t begin the day it was born. So also, is a believer, we carry big virtues and potentials on our inside waiting for manifestation. Below are two (2) principal ways to fly as a believer:
1. Step out of your nest: For the eagle, flight does not begin, until it steps out of the nest. In the nest, your potential is limited, you can’t take flight in the nest.
What to Note about The Nest:
a. The nest is your limitations:
Your mentality has been formed by what you learnt from your teachers and parents, and sometimes these things have limited us in spite of our potentials and capacity, because we remained in the nest, where our teachers and environment has ‘nestled’ us into smallness.
Our attitudes to life has always been crafted and developed by the way we have always believed of ourself. We don’t dare things or venture into things, because of our belief system and how we belief in our selves.
Your attitude to life has been defined by that nest you have remained in, the time to break off from that nest is NOW. Act!
b. The Nest is your comfort Zone: The comfort zone is the limiting zone of life. No eagle remains in the nest for life. Your comfort zone is the enemy of your greatness. If you settle for the nest, you have settled for the less than God has prepared for your life. For some, it could be their job, their house or company etc. Amos 6:1
You remained in the nest as a Christian, when you depend only on the revelation of your pastor without cross checking from the word of God like the Berean Christians in Acts 7:11.
For instance, you remained in the nest physically, when at age 40, you are still living in your father’s house and dependent on relatives for survival. Such Person still carries entitlement mentality at that middle age instead of taking responsibility for his/her life.
C. Security: you feel secured in the nest. But there is no one great in life that pays attention to security, but highfliers are risk takers.
Everyone who are bothered about security can’t have expanded business, instead dare like an eagle. Life is a risk, if you don’t take a risk, you are putting your life at risk.
2. Stirring: When the life in the nest is over, the next thing is to Stirr. Deut. 32:9-13. God didn’t make life comfortable for Jacob, he trained him to fly. The mother eagle trains the eaglet to fly by removing the comfort.
Selah!
