The business of soul winning is for everyone throughout our lifetime. John 4:36
So, if this mandate is a business, we are expected to venture into throughout all our lifetime, how do we then keep this fire burning?
1. Don’t loose sight of heaven: John 14:2-3, Heaven is real. It is not a pigment of our imagination. Luke 16:19, Col 3:-4, Until heaven becomes your priority, the value of souls may not be your priority. 1 Tim2:4, Luke 19:10, John 3:16, shows that the priority of heaven is for all men to be saved and this means heavens priority should also be your own priority. The moment you loose sight of heaven, you will loose value for soul winning. James 5:8, 2Tim 4:10, Heb 12:12
2. Maintain your personal fire: Soul winning requires fervency of spirit. ROM 12:11. Lukewarmness would rob you the passion for souls. Rev 3:16, Lev 6:13, Gen 5:4, let your walk with God be daily. John 2:17, Mark 1:45, spend time with God to grow.
Do not expect others to ‘eat’ for you. ‘Eat’ by yourself by the activities of soul winning, study of the word etc.
3. Watch your company: Now that you are a believer, you need to choose who your friend is. 1cor 15:33. Association with the wrong person can make or mar you.
What evet does not help your fire, would kill it. Only a fire brand would keep you burning Prov 27:17. To protect your fire, you must practice separation 2cor 6:14 -16. Eccl 4:9, Amos 3:3, Luke 24:13,15-16,32
4. Celebrate your converts: Those who are soul winners always celebrate their converts. Write them letters, send them text message, asking to know if they are still standing in faith like Apostle Paul did. 1 thess. 2:19.
When you see your converts standing in faith. it will excite you and give you motivation to save more souls. Phil 1:3, Matt 16:26
