Keys to effective witnessing
1. Friendliness: Matt 11:18-19, we should not make ourselves unfriendly. It is in our friendliness, we can win them over to Christ. 1Cor 9:19-22. People accept what you carry when they can relate with you. Great men show their greatness by the way they treat little men. Prov. 18:24, Friendliness is not a confession; it is a lifestyle or practice.
2. Your Action: Matt 5:14, To change the world, you have to be different. Darkness cannot change darkness. You have to be the light to illuminate the darkness. Therefore, all your actions and inactions like your outward appearance and conversations etc. must be Christ-like, that it may witness to sinners that you are a child of God
3. Your Speech: Words are the most powerful thing on planet. It has begat many wars in time past. Col 4:6, Powerful men speak words selectively. So always learn to speak words that build people up because words have the capacity to either break people or build them. James 3:10-13
4. Intercession: 2cor 5:17, Rom. 1:16,, ‘Evangelism without intercession is like explosive without detonator’ Reinhard Bonnke quipped. The Holy Spirit works to convict sinners when we have interceded for them in the corner. 1Tim 2:1, John 16:8
