The destiny God has called you to is one that is mission impossible to fulfill by your strength. To fulfil your destiny, you need to depend on God for specific instruction.
Psalm 32:8 shows us that God wants to take you by the hand and lead you into fulfilling your destiny.
What are the ways God leads his children?
1. Inward witness : The inward witness is the fundamental way God leads his children. It is like red light and green light. Acts 8:15. It is the knowing that you have on your inside.
In Acts 27:10, Paul perceived that there would be a danger in the journey they were to undertake; that is what the inward witness is.
Also in Acts 20:22, Paul felt bound in his spirit (inward witness). Once you don’t have liberty to do something, don’t do that thing, because that is an inward witness sending you caution just like Paul
2. The inward voice (conscience): This is the v0ice of your spirit. it is the Holy Spirit speaking to your spirit . Romans 9:1 but the challenge nowadays is that there are many voices now.
It is the spirit of man, God relates with. Prov. 20:27. It is Listening to your spirit that guarantees success, and not listening to every voice from your inside .
To easily hear the inward voice,
a) Schedule time for quietness. Psalm 46:10.Quieten your environment. Isaiah 40:31, the way to wait on God is have quiet time.
b) Incline your ear. Prov. 4:20,
c) Come out of carnality 1cor 2:14,
3. The voice of the Holy Spirit: 1cor 6:19, You received the Holy Ghost at salvation and it speaks to you at all time; but to constantly hear him, fellowship with him. acts 94
How to know the voice of God:
a. It brings calmness to chaos
b. It brings sorrow to joy
c. it brings peace to strife. Isaiah 40:4
d. It brings clarity to confusion.
e. It brings power to weakness
4. Prophecy: 1Cor 14:1,31, Acts 19:5-6, Prophecy is an overflow of the operations of Holy Spirit on your inside. God wants to use your mouth to better your life. Great things can come out of your mouth out if inspiration. Prophecy comes out of fervency of prayers. Jer. 20:9, 1cor 14:32
Guidelines of prophecy:
a. It must be scriptural:
b. It must confirm what you already have in your spirit. It should align with what God has told you.
c. They must edify believers, not condemn them.
How to prophesy:
a. Desire it. 1 cor 1:39
b. Live in love 1cor 14:1
c. Yield to the spirit.
