It is high time we reminded ourselves that we are created to reign in life! God did not create any of his children to be poor, he created us to have dominion, to prosper, to reign- to live a life of abundance- Gen 1:28, John 10:10. Life of abundance here, includes eternal life, good health, financial abundance, good and healthy relationships or social standing, wisdom and mental ability and every other good thing. It transcends money or material things because you can be wealthy and not be happy or fulfilled, 3rd John 2.
It is therefore, time to arise and begin to see ourselves the way God sees us. Break every limiting mentality or mind set because God is a wealthy and generous God. He is a mighty KING, he created and owns all the treasures of the earth. This is mind blowing! So, you can’t be his child and be poor!
This abundance was made available to you when you became born again or accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. This means everything that Jesus paid for is now in your spirit, when you gave your life to him. 2 Cor 8:9, Colo 2:9-10. Right on your inside is the fullness of the godhead. In other words, your regenerated spirit does not know lack or poverty because the Holy Spirit (the spirit of abundance) is dwelling right inside of you. 2 Cor 5:17-18. The renewing of the mind, therefore, is crucial here because the poverty of the believer is not lack of wealth but of the spirit / mind. Romans 12:2
Consequently, the only way to enjoy the abundant life is to be spiritual! This entails not solely depending on your abilities, wisdom and strength as they are not enough to get you this life of abundance, you need the Holy Spirit, Isaiah 45:3, Prov 3:5-7, Prov 23:4-5. Christianity is not religiosity but spirituality, Prov 23:4. As a child of God, in your spirit is resident all the ideas that will bring you wealth, Job 32:8. You can only draw from it by being spiritual.
Another thing being spiritual does, is to make you become generous and passionate about God’s kingdom; which are factors that engender prosperity or abundance, Prov 11:24-25. Givers and lovers of the kingdom prosper without struggle. Chronicles 29:3, Psalm 122:6. When the kingdom becomes your focus, prosperity becomes inevitable.
